Mauritius. 'Plan of Port-Louis drawn by Alphonse Couran, sworn surveyor, 1840': map showing streets and major buildings. Oval cartouche containing the title. Scale: 1 inch to about 67 toises [1 inch to about 425 feet]. Compass indicator. Unexplained, coloured MS additions apparently show [?]routes along the streets between Pamplemousses Road and an area to the south of Fort Adelaide. Stamped at the Royal Engineers' Office, Mauritius, 14 June 1875.
