Description:

Appeal from the High Court of Admiralty of Ireland.

Captured ship: St Francis of Dublin otherwise St Anthony (master Simon Murphy).

History: an Irish ship, allegedly bound from Rotterdam (but suspected to be from Bordeaux) to Dublin, laden with wine, brandy, vinegar, paper, turpentine, oil, pitch and cork; seized in Dublin harbour on 1 August 1747 by HMS Dublin yacht (John Weller commanding).
