Description:

The Welsh Office Handbook is a collection of instructions and procedures to be followed by staff throughout the Welsh Office. It covers all aspects of their work, including conduct and discipline, conditions of service, pay, national insurance, travel and subsistence, retirement and superannuation, staff suggestions, staff welfare, health and safety at work, instructions and guidance on the range of office procedures and services (for example, drafting, financial procedures, library services, registry services, typing services, telecommunications and translation services).

The handbook is produced and maintained by the Welsh Office's Establishment Division, and is made up of two volumes: Volume I dealing with Staff Rules, and Volume II covering office procedures.

The handbook is updated regularly and the first pieces contain the main text and all subsequent updates.
