This sub-series includes important policy and administrative papers covering the establishment and organisation of the Oriental Mission (OM) and its subsequent failures and the foundation of the India Mission. The latter include planning and policy for the country sections (particularly Siam). Difficulties of operating in China, directives on political warfare and propaganda, and agreements and cooperation between the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and the United States OSS are also covered.
