Injury: Crush injury to pelvic area, resulting in an extensive varicocele [inflamation of the veins] around the testicles and abdomen.

Details of accident: Whilst assisting in the coupling of two wagons, Barrett stepped between them not realising that the shunting had begun. Noted that he was not using his assigned coupling pole.
