7545. British Regiments. Account of cash paid by Captain Charles Handfield to non-commissioned officers and men of absent British regiments between 24 February and 24 April 1783, both days inclusive. Listed under, regiments, mens names, upon what account, amount against each man, and total against the regiment of. Also gives details of subsistence, rations, and hospital stoppages. Totalling £130 0s 7½d. Regiments include the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards, and the 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 20th, 21st, 24th, 26th, 31st, 45th and 69th (Line) Regiment of Foot. Signed by W Shipman (cashier) and Captain Charles Handfield, Paymaster of Absent Corps. Noted that it is paid persuant to Carleton's warrant Number 59, dated 2 May 1783.
