Folios 51-53. To: The General Board of Health. From: Dr Waller Lewis, Dr Gavin Milroy, Robert Rawlinson, H C Edwards, Charing Cross Hospital, London. Subject Matter: Letter informing that at a meeting of gentlemen interested in sanitary improvement it was resolved to form a committee to publish a Journal of Public Health, to be published monthly and sold at a cost of less than a shilling. Asks permission to state that it is published with the approval of the General Board of Health, the Poor Law Board, the Registrar General and the Army and Navy Medical Board. With a draft reply that although the Board approve of the publication and do not object to any of their officers contributing to it, they do not feel they can give their 'corporate sanction'. |
