This series consists of minutes and reports of joint intelligence staffs working groups and working parties constituted under the authority of the Joint Intelligence Committee.

Discrete registry arrangements for 'INT' documentation were introduced in 1970. 'INT' references were allocated to various working parties and similar groups and to certain other topics (including the circulation of reports received from overseas sources). The common characteristic was that the documentation was not the product of the Joint Intelligence Committee (A) (Joint Intelligence Committee from 1 October 1974) itself (as were memoranda, minutes, Special Assessments, Notes etc) but documentation generated in support of the Committee.
