Lancaster', Lancashire (including part of the West Riding of Yorkshire): Ordnance Survey of England New Series one-inch map sheet 59, renumbered from Old Series one-inch sheet LXXXXI NE (Lancaster) engraved at the Ordnance Map Office Southampton and first published December 1852. New Series sheet printed from an electrotype taken in 1887, with railways inserted to November 1888. Embossed printing date: 'Board of Agriculture. Ordnance Survey, June 1892'. Stamped: 'Chief Mechanical Engineer's Department, Drawing Office, [Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway], Horwich, 17 January 1895'. Also stamped: 'Ordnance Survey England and Wales, Stanford, Sole Agent, 26 & 27 Cockspur Street, Charing Cross [London]'
