Administrative / biographical background: |
F A Bather, an Assistant who had a wide range of responsibilities among the invertebrate groups, was responsible for the Library from 1887 until about 1898. He was succeeded by R C Woolley (1898-1903), W H Broadbent (1904-c1941) and H D Scammell (1948-1964). A P Harvey was appointed to the post in 1964. In 1975 the Library and its staff became part of the newly created Department of Library Services. |
