Correspondence from the senior officers at Jamaica. The first volume includes papers relating to Walker's expedition to Quebec in 1711. Correspondence between the commander-in-chief, the Spanish authorities and the Admiralty about the Spanish seizure ofH.M. schooner Sir Edward Hawke in 1771 is in ADM 1/5117/3. From 1821 the Jamaica station included the whole Caribbean; in 1831 Bermuda and North American waters were added. ADM 12/1-4 is an index to ships mentioned in flag officers' reports, 1711-1793.
