Folios 601-603. Letter from T S Fletcher [Thomas Swindell Fletcher], Medical Officer, to the Poor Law Board. He states that in a letter of 27 November he informed them that he had a special diet book for sick inmates. There are a number of old, infirm and sick people in the house who are on his books for diet alone. They are not all on the same diet but the diet book only provides one diet and for each return he has to rewrite the names and particulars required in the 31st column of his medical books. He therefore asks if he can make use of two or three dietaries or have two or three diet books. Annotated: refer him to article 207 and article 108 first and secondly. Also annotated: refer him to the regulations above cited. [Folio 601 is a year guard]. Paper Number: 264/1870. See also Paper Number: 59417/1869. Poor Law Union Number: 526. Counties: Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. |
