Printed fragment on the state of Europe, 'for the month of January 1706'; covers aspects of the Act of Union. Enclosures:

i. Fragment dated 1707, discussing the motivations and actions of France with regard to Spain.

ii. Anti-Catholic manuscript sermon on the Hanoverian succession, preached at Horninghold Church, Leicestershire by Humfrey Michel. Gives justifications for King George's rule. Condemns 'Pope-Ridden and Frenchify'd Pretender' [James Francis Edward Stuart] and 'Popery and Presbytery'. Includes some Latin and Greek.

Possibly seized at the time of the 1715 Jacobite rebellion.
