Folio(s) 29-32. Letter from Messrs Rhodes, Cook and Handley, Clerkenwell, [Middlesex], solicitors under the commission of bankruptcy issued against Mariano Bovi, formerly an engraver and printseller of Piccadilly, now in Italy, enclosing a copy of a letter [undated] to Francis Freeling, Secretary to the Post Office, from John Adamson, William Pontifex and [Rudolph Ackermann], Bovi's assignees, together with Freeling's reply of 14 January, and asking for a warrant authorizing the stoppage of letters directed to Rocco Bovi, suspected of unlawful practices in concert with his bankrupt brother, to the injury of Mariano Bovi's creditors. |
