Description:

Captured ship: Andreas (master Henderik Steenkamp).

History: a Prussian merchant ship (formerly the Susanna), allegedly bound from Cork to Lisbon, laden with beef, tallow and butter, but suspected of trading with France; taken on 21 August 1747 by the privateer Sandwich (James Gaul commanding) and brought into Penzance.
