Description:

Edward Harry Bernard DURRANT. A former soldier, DURRANT volunteered to the authorities in Cairo in 1939 that he had been recruited by German Intelligence and sent to Egypt where his role was to gather information on military matters. He was returned to UK and placed in detention. In his absence there was an attempt to keep the correspondence link with Germany open for deception purposes
