Description:

Captain James O'Hara, Hull. Will try to get Masters for the Service. Ralph Bird, Master of several merchant ships, at present employed in the gang, is qualified for the Texel, the Wezer, the Baltic, the Elbe and Heligoland and is willing to pass. He has not much experience of the west but is certain to obtain Pilotage there. No answer has been received of the request for his subsistence or that of Lieutenant Maurice or if they were right in paying the subsistence of the hired gang. The Lively tender can stow 60 men and 59 were sent in her yesterday. Asks for an iron cabouse to be brought for her to speed the preparation of the men's victuals.
