Folio 53. Letter from Richard Stone, District Auditor to the Staffordshire and Derbyshire Audit District, of The Wardwick, Derby, to the Poor Law Board. The Board have forwarded to Stone an extract of a letter by Reverend Sutcliffe, Guardian of the Parish of Keele regarding appointment of an overseer and property rates, which Stone is alleged to have disallowed. He states that he has no knowledge of the matter. Annotated: reply to Sutcliffe bringing his attention to Act 7& 8 Vic c 101 s 62 and Act 59 Geo 3 c 12 s 7. Paper Number: 13554/1857.
