There are also files on aid and development questions including the Colonial Development Corporation, interests of British subjects overseas, international migration, support for colonial industries, overseas settlement, Commonwealth educational co-operation, colonial and foreign military matters, and refugees.

Includes files on administrative and budgetary questions relating to such international bodies as Council of Europe, North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), United Nations and agencies, Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC), and the Colombo Plan.

The Treasury's Commonwealth and Foreign (CF) Division was set up in 1960, a direct descendant of the Imperial and Foreign (IF) Division. The CF was disbanded in November 1962, when its functions were transferred to the Finance Development (2FD) Division.
