High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: L'Activa (commander Don Pedro de Argain y Ugalde).

History: a Spanish privateer or naval 'bilander' (100 tons, 12 carriage guns and 2 swivel guns, 85 men), bound from Cadiz on a cruise; taken in fight on 16 August 1780 in latitude 36°20', longitude 6°20' from Tenerife by the privateers Resolution (Cornelius Gosselyn commanding), and Spitfire (Daniel Thomson commanding), and brought into Lisbon.

Court papers: 1-8; Ship's papers: 9-16. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
