Description:

High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: Abraham en Jacob (master Euwe Pieters).

History: a Dutch merchant ship (brigantine, 166 tons, 11 men), bound from Malaga to Amsterdam, laden with wine, raisins, argall [argol or tartar], black lead, lemons and matting; taken on 25 December 1780 south of Eddystone by the privateer Garland (Richard Gambell or Gamble commanding), and brought into Plymouth.

Court papers: 1-41; Ship's papers: 42-154. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
