British New York Vice-Admiralty Court.

Captured ship: Abigail of Dartmouth (master Nathaniel Pope).

History: an American merchant ship (sloop, 30-45 tons, 3 men), bound from Tarpaulin Cove, Massachusetts Bay to Dartmouth, Massachusetts Bay, unladen but about to take on wood; taken on 22 April 1780 at Tarpaulin Cove by the privateer Lewis Town's Revenge schooner (Henry Hall commanding), and brought into New York.
