Folio(s) 34-35. Letter from W E Thompson [William Eggington Thompson], Medical Officer, Bewdley, 3 New Town Smith, Kings Town, Dublin, [Ireland], to the Poor Law Board. He explains that due to an uncontrollable medical condition of his skin he needed to rest from his professional duties for three months. He asked the Board to look favourably on the proposal to dispense with his services and take into account the eight years he has served the Bewdley district.Annotated: send a copy to the guardians [Kidderminster Poor Law Union] and request their observations.
