Ernest Davidovitch LAMBERT aliases Jekabs KETNERS, Richard ELSON, Johan OLHOFF, Michel AVOTIN, Johan KURKIS: Russian. In the 1930s, LAMBERT, Russian by birth and described as a 'dangerous and ruthless Communist' and Comintern agent, was a very active member of seamen's groups/unions on whose behalf he travelled widely under a variety of false identities. These travels, which frequently resulted in arrests and deportations, aimed to promote Comintern interests including sabotage. LAMBERT died during World War II, probably executed by the Germans |
