Incorporated by act of 6th August 1880. Under South Eastern Railway (Various Powers) Act 10th August 1882 Section 42, Woodside & South Croydon Railway Company was dissolved and was transferred to and vested in London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Company and South Eastern Railway Company jointly, as from date of passing of act. By virtue of Section 43, powers of companies as to maintenance and management of Woodside & South Croydon Railway Company were vested in joint committee constituted under Sections 20 to 31 of London, Brighton & South Coast Railway (Croydon, Oxted and East Grinstead Railways) Act 1878. London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Company and South Eastern Railway Company became part of Southern Railway Company under Railways (Southern Group) Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 22nd December 1922.
