Incorporated under Act 10 & 11 Vic, cap.58 (1847). Another company, Windsor, Staines & South Western (Staines & Wokingham) Railway Company, was incorporated 10 & 11 Vic, cap.57 (1847) and Directors were same as those of Windsor Staines and South Western Railway Company, though Windsor, Staines & South Western (Staines & Wokingham) line was not constructed. Windsor Staines & South Western Railway Company was merged into London & South Western Railway Company in 1850. London and South Western Railway Company became part of Southern Railway Company as from 1st January 1923 under Railways (Southern Group) Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 22nd December 1922.
