Incorporated by act of 12th August 1898. First meeting was on 22nd October 1898, and last on 21st December 1899, at which it was reported that Company had not raised capital required and that there was no probability of their being able to do so by 31st December 1899; an agreement between Company and Great Western Railway Company, in pursuance of section 62 of act of Incorporation, admitting fact was submitted and approved. Powers under act of 1898 were transferred to Great Western Railway Company under Great Western Railway Act of 26th July 1901 (Section 85 &c) which had effect of dissolving Windsor and Ascot Railway Company.
