Incorporated by act of 17th July 1862. Under London and South Western Railway Act of 5th July 1865, power was taken to amalgamate Thames Valley Railway Company with London and South Western Railway Company when Thames Valley Railway Company should so agree. Amalgamation took place from 1st January 1867. London and South Western Railway Company became part of Southern Railway Company as from 1st January 1923 under Railways (Southern Group) Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 22nd December 1922.
