Description:

Folios 385-386: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reply to letter dated 13 June 1806 in the case of John Crocker whose discharge has been applied for by Thomas Ferguson. He was impressed by Lieutenant Thomas] Consitt at Sunderland on 7 June 1806 from the Garland out of Plymouth, William Jones Master as his appointment as Mate was considered fraudulent as the Owner was on the ship and appeared to be Master.

Folios 387-388: enclosure with folios 385-386. Letter dated 12 June 1806 by Thomas Ferguson, 3 George Yard, Lombard Street, to the Admiralty. Request for the discharge of John Crocker, Mate of the Brig Garland of Plymouth, William Jones Master. He was impressed in the Port of Shields under the direction of William Charleton and placed on a Tender for the Nore.
