Petitioner(s): Richard Blackford, 12 Cock Lane, Shoreditch, [Middlesex], boot and shoe maker, the prisoner's father, and Robert Phillips, the prosecutor, undersigned by 13 residents of Shoreditch and neighbourhood attesting to good character of Richard Blackford. Richard Blackford, 2 Old Cock Lane at back of Shoreditch Church, Shoreditch, the prisoner's father, and Robert Philps, prosecutor.

Grounds for clemency: Prisoner from respectable family of 13 children; of good character until led astray by 'a very bad disposed man' aged 22 who committed the theft and escaped.
