Incorporated under act of 23rd July 1860. By act of 2nd August 1898, Brading Harbour & Railway Company was vested in Isle of Wight Railway Company. By London & South Western Railway (Southern Group) Preliminary Absorption Scheme 1922 dated 23rd December 1922, Isle of Wight Railway Company was transferred to and absorbed by London & South Western Railway Company from midnight on 31st December 1922. London & South Western Railway Company became part of Southern Railway Company from 1st January 1923 under Railways (Southern Group) Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 22nd December 1922.
