Description:

Tradesmen's bills for various ships: also accounts of money required by the Clerk to the Committee of Shipping.

A ledger account book containing detailed daily cash flow statements and forecasts of cash required to meet outstanding commitments. Itemised are statements of money required to meet the demands of the next week, accounts paid and debts over the period 21 February 1722 to 16 December 1724. A running total of debts outstanding (varying around £10,000) is included. This appears to be an important document for assessing the cash management and financial state of the company during this period.

Included at the rear of the book is a statement of the proportions of a consignment of beef, pork and wine shipped to six West African trading factories. Also included at the rear are lists of tradesmen's bills for fitting out and provisions for various ships including lists of bill less than £10 for the period 1723 to 1724.
