Richard STAHLMANN, alias TILMAN, STEINMANN, Artur ILLNER / ILLNEV; Arthur ILLMER / MULLER, Partisan Richard: German. An early member of the German Communist Party, STAHLMANN was trained at the Comintern military school in the early 1920s, then worked abroad for the Comintern, including in Sweden, Shanghai and France, and was later an instructor at the military school. After the Second World War he worked for the East German communist party in an underground network in the British Zone of Germany and in the administration of couriers
