Title: W. K. Boyd: Notes on the De Banco Rolls and on various Manors, Fisheries and Pedigrees
Description:

These volumes are the bound notes of W K Boyd, a nineteenth century scholar, who compiled notes mainly from the de banco rolls, but also from the assize rolls, the Lancaster plea rolls and the curia regis rolls.

Boyd compiled information on a variety of subjects of genealogical and heraldic interest found in these rolls including pedigrees, estates, castles, fisheries, foreshores and other rights pertaining to selected families. The notes contain entries of interest to local historians, genealogists and estate historians.

For many years these volumes were made available to the public as reference works in the Round Room at Chancery Lane. The former reference column in the list gives the old pressmark of the volume from this time.

In 1994, when the dispersal of various finding aids on the Round Room shelves was discussed, prior to their move to Kew by 1996, it was decided that these volumes be accessioned as documents and returned to repository.
