Letter from Viscount Sydney, former Home Secretary, at Weymouth [Dorset], with his opinion, at William Pitt's request, on Robert Barry's correspondence, believing it to be a sham plot but stating that he had put Goldsworthy and Gwynne [equerries] on their guard, and suggesting the deployment of one of the Bow Street men to watch for trouble during the king's visit.
