Folios 64-68B. Letter from Lord Adam Gordon recommending financial support for the family of the former British consul in Tunis [Charles Gordon]. Enclosed is a letter of 29 November 1789 to Gordon from Charles Tulin, Swedish Consul at Tunis, hoping that the plants sent from Sweden met his requirements, drawing attention to the distress of the Gordon family, and stating his inability to support them from his meagre salary due to the high price of provisions in time of plague.
