Letter from John Miller, a native of Switzerland, seeking relief from poverty and enclosing a copy of a certificate signed by John Parker, master of the Juno that had foundered off Ushant when bringing Miller from Leghorn [Livorno] to Bristol, stating that, although he had been saved by Captain Jones of the Endeavour of Swansea, Miller had lost all his possessions amounting to more than £600. |
