Folios 26A-27B. Letter from Thomas White, Mayor of Portsmouth [Hampshire], requesting the early removal of the convicts sentenced to transportation. Enclosed are the certificates of Stephen Barney, Clerk of the Peace, that James Smith and Edward Monday alias Bunday had been convicted of felony and sentenced to transportation for 7 years, and of James Wilkes, surgeon, that the convicts were in perfect health. |
