Description:

Lieslaw BAZINSKY, aliases Mieczyslaw BASINSKI, Stanislaw PACHOLSKI, Mieczyslaw PACHOLSKI: Polish. Polish by birth, he settled in France in 1924 and worked as a miner until 1934 when he was disabled in an accident. BAZINSKY then bought and managed a small cinema. This, and some local work as an interpreter, involved contact with the occupying German Army. He was denounced, by a fellow Pole, as an active cooperator with the Germans, a charge which he denied. In 1951 BAZINSKY applied for and was granted leave to settle in the UK
