On 7 July 2005 four bombs exploded in London; 56 people died and hundreds were injured. The Inquests were resumed on 11 October 2010, with Lady Justice Hallett appointed Assistant Deputy Coroner for Inner West London and given jurisdiction. Lady Justice Hallett ruled that the inquests into the deaths of the 52 members of the public killed on 7 July 2005 should be resumed and be heard together; inquests into the deaths of Mohammed Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, Hasib Hussain and Jermaine Lindsay remained adjourned. The Coroner delivered her verdicts and handed down her Rule 43 report on 6 May 2011. |
