| Description: | The Bathing Water Directive dataset contains the following data: Data on inland and coastal waters (broken down by regions, EC regions, country, area, county and district). A record of compliance with EC bathing water directive coliform standards. The sample history of both coastal and inland waters in the UK. The data table on inland and coastal waters also records the NUTS code (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics) for each district. Parameters for which compliance is calculated include total coliforms, faecal coliforms, mineral oils, surface-active substances and phenols. The Bathing Water Directive dataset comprises 14 tables. The tables tblBWATER, tblCompliance, tblSAMPLEHistory are the main data tables of this dataset, and the rest are lookup tables for codes used in the main tables. |
