Medical and surgical journal of the convict ship Oriental Queen for 22 September 1852 to 26 February 1853 by D Geddes, Surgeon, during which time the said ship was employed on a voyage from England to Van Dieman's Land.

Folios 4-6: Thomas Lovatt, aged 38, prisoner; case 1; disease or hurt, diarrhoea. Put on sick list, 11 November 1852 at sea. Died 21 January 1853.

Folios 6-7: George Gibbs, aged 29, prisoner; case 2; disease or hurt, phthisis. Put on sick list, 16 November 1852 at sea. Died 26 January 1853.

Folios 7-8: Daniel Cairns, aged 26, prisoner; case 3; disease or hurt, diarrhoea. Put on sick list, 15 December 1852 at sea. Died 30 January 1853.

Folio 8: Thomas Matthews, aged 19, prisoner; case 4; disease or hurt, subluxatio. Put on sick list, 20 February 1853, Hobart Town. Discharged 22 February 1853 to the civil hospital.
