Description:

Helmik Knutsen WALLEM: Norwegian. WALLEM was a seaman whose arrival in Lerwick in July 1941, in a fishing smack with two companions, coincided with the interception of an Abwehr radio message describing the dispatch of agents whose details and travel arrangements closely reflected those of WALLEM's group. Interrogated at Camp 020, WALLEM confessed his recruitment by the Germans but claimed it was solely as a means of achieving his escape from Norway. A Norwegian court after the war acquitted him of collaboration
