Commander Edgar Philip YOUNG: British. YOUNG retired from the Royal Navy in 1934 and was associated with various international 'Peace' and anti-Fascist movements up to 1939. In wartime his views, and actions, often accorded with the British Communist Party line. Post war he held office in the Communist-inspired 'friendship' societies of the USSR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and Vietnam
