Description:

Ronald Hamilton GUNN. GUNN was a member of the Communist Party in the 1930s and 1940s, visited the Soviet Union and was active in the Society for Cultural Relations between the People of the British Commonwealth and the USSR (SCR) and other Communist Front organisations. He was a long term friend of Klaus FUCHS, the atom spy, and supported him when FUCHS arrived in the UK as a refugee in the 1930s. Following FUCHS's arrest and imprisonment in 1950, GUNN visited him in prison and offered help with legal representation
