Description:

Anna Yakovlevna SKALBERGS, alias GRUBER: Latvian, Russian. SKALBERGS came to notice in 1944 as spreading Communist propaganda in camps for displaced persons, an activity she continued after the Second World War whilst working as a dressmaker for staff at the Soviet Embassy. Investigation confirmed that she was acting as the agent of the Soviet Embassy and she was deported in 1953
