Robert STEWART: British. A founder member of the British Communist Party, in the early 1920s STEWART was British representative on the Comintern and a member of its Executive. For many years he oversaw the British Communist Party's secret apparatus including, it was thought, those of its members who passed military information to the Soviet Union.
