In 1972 when the Department of Technical Co-operation was re-designated Multilateral Aid Institutions Department. It subsequently reverted to United Nations Department in 1976 to include UNESCO issues. It was re-titled United Nations Department (A) in 1979. Responsibility for relations with the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation passed to the Ministry from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in January 1965. |
