Awards to civilian helpers of British service personnel: Nos 3053-3177 (Described at item level).

These are recommendations or citations for awards to foreign nationals for helping or aiding Allied prisoners of war who either escaped or evaded capture. Each numbered file contains a cover sheet with names of recommended individuals, followed by a separate sheets for each recommendation describing personal details, aid or assitance given to British military personnel during their escape or evasion, and the award recommended.
