Hella Maria VUOLIJOKI, aliases WUOLIJOKI, Madame FRANCESCA, Madame CHAPUIS, Pauline CHAGNAUD: Estonian/Finnish. VUOLIJOKI was an Estonian-born Finnish Communist, married to a notable Finnish Communist and sister-in-law of the British Communist R. Palme DUTT. She had long-term and close Soviet connections and was sentenced to death (but reprieved) in 1943 for spying for the Russians. She later became Director of the Finnish Broadcasting Organisation
